COVID-19 Policies

As you have heard, the Ontario government is now in Stage 2 of reopening. We are all so very excited that it is happening but please have some patience while service providers across the province are working on the steps to reopen all services. With that in mind, here is my current opening status!

While the government has allowed all services to be performed again, for the time being, I will only be offering manicures, pedicures and nail extensions. Services like waxing and tinting will return in Stage 3.

June 24

  • Policies Updated. They’ll be available to read through on Instagram, Facebook and this page. 

June 25

  • Booking will begin happening with appointments starting July 2. Online booking will be open however appointments will be limited each day.
  • No walk-ins will be accepted as per usual

The protocol for appointments remains as follows 

  • All clients will be pre-screened prior to entering the studio and you will be required to answer a list of questions and digitally “sign” with your phone number before each appointment.
  • Masks WILL be mandatory. You can purchase a disposable one from me at the time of your appointment or wear a new & clean one of your own. Masks must cover BOTH your nose and mouth during the entire appointment.
  • You MUST arrive at your appointment on time or 5 mins early. Late appointments will not be tolerated due to limited availability.
  • No shows will not be tolerated. If you do not show, you will be removed from the waitlist until September. 
  • All clients will be required to wash their hands upon entering and again prior to leaving.
  • Shoes MUST be removed upon entering so please wear socks!
  • All personal items will have to remain in your car. Please only bring your credit card in with you. E-transfers will be no longer be accepted as debit and credit is now available.
  • Cell phones will no longer be allowed on the nail table OR be touched during your service. This is non-negotiable
  • Water bottles cannot be brought in and I cannot provide water.
  • If you are early for your appointment and see someone at my desk, please wait in your car until I wave you in after I have cleaned up. I can only have one guest in my studio at a time.
  • No waxing or lash/brow tinting will be done at this time. These services will return in Stage 3.
  • Nail art MUST be pre-booked. I will need to ensure your service starts and ends on time for a deep clean between appointments. Please send me your nail art ideas prior to your appointment so we can stay on time.
  • Colour swatch books and nail art swatches cannot be handled by anyone but myself going forward. 
  • Only 1 guest is allowed in at a time so do not bring a friend or child with you or I will have to reschedule your appointment.

Additionally:

  • If you and/or anyone in your home are experiencing flu-like symptoms, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. 
  • If you are working with individuals that are experiencing flu-like symptoms you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
  • If you have travelled and/or live with anyone that has travelled in the last 14 days, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
  • If you have any open wounds on your hands of any kind, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.

Cleaning protocols that I will be following between each client:

  • Washing my hands before and after each client as well as before and after cleaning 
  • Wiping down all surfaces that have been touched not limited to: chair, table, door handle, hand soap, LED Lamp, basket your phone and keys sit in.
  • Wiping down all items I use: all tools will be sterilized, all nail art brushes used, all polish bottles touched, my chair
  • I will use a fresh clean mask for every client
  • The floor will be swept and sprayed with Lysol
  • All towels will be changed between clients and washed on the highest temperature at the end of the day.

I know this seems excessive but it’s my way of doing my part to keep myself and us all safe! 

All these policies along with regular policies and frequently asked questions will remain in effect until further notice.
